With almost 100 years of combined chocolate manufacturing experience, the Walter Family knows a thing or two about making chocolate. The Walter family’s dream of owning a retail shop came to be over 30 years ago. Prior to Lore’s Chocolates, Tony Sr. made his mark in the industry with several well respected brands in Philadelphia and the southern US. His work with Goldenberg’s Peanut Chews led the family to the eventual purchase of the original Goldenberg Peanut Chews factory – it’s where Lore’s Chocolates are manufactured to this day. You might say it’s a factory with good chocolate karma. Lore’s signature confections are made by hand in small batches and sold at our historic location just one block from the famed Liberty Bell in the heart of Old City Philadelphia.
